Giant redwoods along the Avenue of the
Giants, just off US-101. A terrific drive on a beautiful morning,
the 26 miles of the Avenue are smooth, narrow roads weaving between
some of the tallest trees in the world.

of the Jedi, you're right. Ferns, big trees, the harsh California
sunlight only barely penetrating the thick canopy. But when it
